Below are some excerpts from our Astronomy show.

All the images were shot locally here on The Sunshine Coast with small telescopes - mostly a 4" Refractor (Achromat) and a 6" Newtonian

A $150 pocket digital was used for the planets

A Canon Digital Rebel (300D) was used for Deep Sky

'The Skies Above The Sunshine Coast' was presented at Astronomy In The Park at Porpoise Bay Park Sechelt, on August 9th 2008.  Although the day was showery we had a full house at the outdoor amphitheatre in the forest for the presentation at 9.15pm.  Thanks to Danny, Marty and Rob for all their help with the show.

Starchasers 2008 - The Skies Above The Sunshine Coast

This show is the result of 3 years learning Astrophotography.

At first capturing empty sky and blurred stars, then gradually learning the

techniques to capture wonders like The Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy.

In Astrophotography 3 years is a short time, we still have a lot to learn.

But the greatest thing so far is showing others what we've seen.
